Boy and bionic gorilla sitting on a cliff looking at a war torn city. Sun is setting. Boy asks gorilla if there are more like them. "Yes" gorilla says, "but we can't see them until you're ready, the journey is dangerous and it will take time for you to learn the ways." "I understand", the boy quietly says as he turns his gaze from his guardian, to the city shimmering in the distance.
And sometimes we have to go back, to remember what's right.

Haven't been adding to this blog as much as I'd like. New ideas and creations are certainly in the mix. Been testing out some animations in After Effects, and hope to produce some short clips soon. I'm interested in creating some future landscapes, where thoughts can come to life. Merge audio and visual together to tell a series of short stories, piece those together and we'll see where it goes. All in all, there's a new inspiration every day, to make what I haven't seen or heard come to life.

This film is shocking and amazing to experience. Edward Burtynsky shares his vision of the hidden horrors of progress at any cost. This film is not just a wake up call, but also a cold splash of water on the sobering face of modern understanding.
We must slow it down.

This movie is a work of art. Saw it a few years ago and wanted to share the link. It's made in black and white with no shades of grey. The amount of creative force behind this project is astounding. Looking forward to more work from this team in the future.

I remember the first time I heard this song, as clearly as the first time I saw this video. Such a powerful idea.

Carl Erik Rinsch's The Gift from microCHANNEL on Vimeo.
Remember seeing this years ago. It's gripping, as it blends a foreign future with something very human. What is the gift?
